Gloucestershire Parent Carers Council was set up by parents of children with disabilities to
- Promote good practice
- Identify need and inform the planning process
- Ensure there are services to support all children with disabilities
The Parent Carers Council provides information about services and support via
- Six weekly Council steering group meetings
- Quarterly Parent Forum (Part of the Carers Forum)
- Quarterly Parent Voice Meetings
- The Key Newsletter
- Regular liaison with health, educational and social care providers

- Review of the CAMHS service
- The Key Management meetings (Gloucestershire’s Children with Disabilities Voluntary Register)
- Recruitment and Training of professionals
Much of the work that we have been doing over the past 30 months has been helped by the Parent Participation Grant that has been given by the DCSF.
It has allowed the development of this website which we hope will evolve over the coming months.
